Edit sales title

Change a title's basic data, description, preview image, PDF, MusicXML, prices and audio samples in the side panel. Changes apply from the moment you save.

What is this?

With Edit you adjust an existing title — basic data, description, files, prices and audio samples. This also works while the title is in the shop.

How to edit a title

  1. Open Publisher > Titles and click the title's row, or choose Edit on its ··· menu. The side panel opens on the right.
  2. Under Basics you change title, composer, lyricist, arranger, catalog number, difficulty, voicing, description and links.
  3. In the Files area you see the current PDF, the current preview image and the status of the voice trainer:
    • Replace PDF — takes effect immediately after a confirmation prompt
    • Replace preview image — takes effect immediately
    • Voice trainer — shows the status: no MusicXML yet, waiting, being created, ready for choirs with a licence, or failed
    • Upload MusicXML or Replace MusicXML — takes effect immediately; replacing asks for confirmation first
  4. Active in shop sets whether the title is offered in the shop.
  5. Under Prices you adjust the pricing model, price, minimum purchase and bulk pricing, and for plays also the performance fees.
  6. Under Versions & audio you maintain further versions and audio samples.
  7. Click Save.

What you should keep in mind

  • Price changes only apply to new purchases.
  • Inactive titles stay visible to choirs with a licence.
  • New audio samples are uploaded when you save.

Permission

Editors, administrators and the owner of the publisher can edit. Only administrators and the owner can replace the PDF. Editors can also upload and replace the MusicXML for the voice trainer.

Tips

  • Maintain descriptions carefully — they are often the most important clue for choir directors.
  • Check the new preview in the shop after replacing the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Do price changes also apply to past purchases?▾
No. A purchase keeps the price that was paid. The new price applies to purchases from the moment you save.
Does a change need to be reviewed by the Chorilo team?▾
No. Changes take effect immediately after saving. You replace the PDF, preview image and MusicXML directly in the panel, without needing to save.
What happens to buyers when I replace the PDF?▾
All buyers receive the new file. Chorilo regenerates the personal watermarked PDFs, the preview image and the preview sample in the background.
What happens when I replace the MusicXML?▾
Chorilo recreates the voice trainer in the background for all choirs with a licence for the title. You can see the status in the Voice trainer row.
