Delete an event
Remove an event permanently. For future events, members get a message. Responses, comments and tasks are lost along with the event.

What is this?
With Delete Event you remove an event permanently. This cannot be undone. If you only want to reschedule an event, edit it instead. If the event is only called off, better use Cancel event: responses and comments are kept, and the event is marked “Cancelled” for everyone.
How to delete an event
- Open the event in the events overview.
- Open the “···” menu at the top right and choose Delete Event. The app works the same way.
- Confirm the prompt.
For event series
If the event belongs to a series, Chorilo asks:
- Only this event: The other events of the series remain.
- This and all future: This event and all later events of the series are deleted.
- All events in the series: Past events of the series are deleted too.
Good to know
- Notification: Members only get a message about the cancellation for future events. For a series, this is a single message listing all cancelled events.
- Tickets: The event's ticket sale is deleted along with it, without an automatic refund. Cancel orders beforehand.
- Attendance: The event's responses and attendance disappear with it. If you need them for an evaluation, export them first under Ensembles > Choir > Choir settings > Reports.

You need Delete events. By default administrators and moderators have it.
Frequently asked questions
Do members get a notification?▾
Yes, if the event is in the future. Then all active members who are allowed to see the event get an email and a push notification, depending on their own settings. No message is sent when you delete past events. If you delete several future events of a series at once, members get just one message listing all cancelled events.
Can I restore a deleted event?▾
No. Deleting is permanent. If you only want to reschedule an event, edit it instead.
What happens to sold tickets?▾
The event's ticket sale, including its orders, is deleted along with it. There is no automatic refund. So cancel sold tickets on the “Tickets” tab beforehand and inform the buyers.
What happens to comments and tasks?▾
Responses, comments, tasks and the files uploaded directly to the event are deleted too. The sheet music stays in your sheet music library, as do files that were only linked from the file storage.
