Duplicate or delete a venue
Duplicate a venue with its address and seating plan as a template or delete venues you no longer need. Events keep their location text, and venues used in a ticket sale cannot be deleted.

What is this?
Via a venue's ··· menu you can duplicate or delete it.
Duplicating
A copy is worthwhile, for example, if you:
- have several similar rooms in the same building, then you don't have to type the address again
- need a variant of the same seating plan, for example with and without a stage extension
- want to experiment with the seating plan without changing the original
How to duplicate
- Open Ensembles > Choir > Choir settings > Venues.
- Open the venue's “···” menu and choose Duplicate.
- The copy appears in the list right away, with the suffix “(Kopie)” in its name.
- Open the copy and adjust the name and everything else that differs from the original.
Deleting
- Open the venue's “···” menu and choose Delete. Alternatively, you find Delete at the bottom of the venue's edit page.
- Confirm the prompt. The venue and its seating plan, if it has one, are deleted. Events at this venue are kept and keep their location text.
A venue that is used in a ticket sale cannot be deleted.
Permission
You need Create & edit venues. By default administrators and moderators have it.
Tip
If you want to rebuild a seating plan fundamentally, duplicate the venue first. That way you keep the original as a backup. The events stay with the original.
Frequently asked questions
What is carried over when duplicating?▾
Description, address, capacity, price categories and the seating plan with all seats, areas and objects. The copy has the same name as the original with the suffix “(Kopie)”. Events and their bookings stay with the original. Changes to the copy do not affect the original.
Can I delete a venue that is already used in a ticket sale?▾
No. As long as a ticket sale uses the venue, it cannot be deleted.
What happens to events at a deleted venue?▾
They are kept and keep their location text. They just no longer count towards a venue's bookings.
Can I restore a deleted venue?▾
No. Deleting is permanent, the venue disappears along with its seating plan.
