Create a new choir
Set up your choir in Chorilo: enter name, type, colour and address, done. The setup then guides you through basic settings, events and voice parts.
This feature is only available on the web.
What is this?
With Add ensemble you create a new choir. You automatically become Administrator of the choir and can set everything up.
How to create a choir
- Click Ensembles in the sidebar and then Add ensemble. If you have several choirs, you'll also find the entry in the choir selector at the top.
- Enter the Ensemble Name and choose the Ensemble Type.
- Pick a Color. It marks the choir in Chorilo.
- Enter the Billing address: street, postal code, city, country and Timezone. Chorilo suggests the time zone to match the country.
- Optional: Description and Logo.
- Click Create Ensemble.
The setup wizard then opens.
What happens next
- You are Administrator and have all permissions in this choir.
- Three permission groups are created: Administrator, Moderator and Member.
- Standard voice parts are created, from soprano to bass with subdivisions. You adjust them under Choir settings > Voices & roles.
- The trial runs, provided you haven't used it up yet.
Permission
No special permission needed. Every Chorilo account can create a choir.
Tips
- Enter the full address. It appears on your subscription invoices.
- Upload the logo right away, so members recognise the choir at once.
- Create separate choirs when groups have their own members, rehearsals and performances.
